Keara’s Blog

Hi! My name is Keara, and I am the youngest in my family. I have three siblings: one brother, Klaude, and two sisters, Khate and Koleen. We are martial artists.

During my Thanksgiving break, I had done a lot of activities. I watched the Pacquiao-Algieri fight,  and I was super happy when Pacquiao won the fight.

Also, my family and I had a great Thanksgiving dinner,  and  I ate  a lot of turkey…gobble gobble! We also went to the mall for Black Friday shopping! I got two Marie toys from the movie  Aristocats.

My mom, my sister Koleen, and I started preparing for my Pokemon birthday party. I am dressed up as Dawn in her coordinator dress.

Blogger of the week: Owen

Hi, my name is Owen. I like to fish. On my first time fishing, I caught a huge fish. It was probably a foot long. We ate it for dinner. It was delicious. 

I really like Pokeman. I have three EX's, Charzard, Mega Charzard, and Melotta. I also like sports. I am really good at football, soccer, baseball, and basketball.

 I like school a lot. It's so fun. I sometimes don't want to leave after homework. I play on the computer. I have a new baby brother named Levi.

Academic Update 11/15/2014

We haven't had a Academic Update Blog post in awhile. Here is a brief update of what we've been doing in third grade and some pictures from the last couple weeks.

ELA:
We finished reading the book Edward Tulane. -Showmen
We started reading Marty McGuire Digs Worms by Kate Messner. -James

Math:
We took the subtraction test. -Sean
We started multiplication. -Justin
In math we made equal groups with chocolate chips and beans. -Emma
We did multiplication with beans. Meghana

Science:
We started our Ocean Biome projects. -Laiba
Ms. Steinlein put us in expert groups for our Ocean Biome animal. -Ava
In our Ocean Biome Unit we are finishing our ocean biome pages. -Keara
We are writing a full paragraph about our ocean animal. -Ava
We played a jeopardy like game with the ocean animals. -Showmen

Art:
In Art, we started weaving and finger knitting. -Audrey

Specials:
We skyped with 2 authors; Kate Messner and Tara Lazar. -Justin
We are going to have an electronic party. -Natalie
We will have a mystery reader today. Kaleb

The class had a substitute for 4 days! -Ava

On Tuesday we observed Veterans Day and had no school. -Ava

Blogger of the Week: Kaleb

Hi, my name is Kaleb Kai! I have two sisters, Kaely and Kenzie, one brother, Kaden and a dog named Millie.
This year for Halloween, I dressed up as a zombie. I think they are so cool. My mom did my makeup so it would look real and gory.  We went to my Auntie Sam's house in Folsom to trick or treat with my cousins. They have huge houses that gave us big candy bars.

I enjoy building Legos on my spare time. Over the weekend, I saw my Uncle Eric and he gave me a Lego Marvel Superhero set for my birthday. It was an awesome present. It took me four hours to build it and I was excited to play with it.

I am good at Minecraft too. I know how to build lots of stuff. I like it so much that I am taking the after school class again. This time we will learn how to code.

Blogger of the Week: Dominic

My name is Dominic and I just turned 9 years old. My birthday party is going to be this Saturday and Im super excited for it. I'm the oldest I have one younger sister named Alyssa who is 6 years old.

I love to spend time with my family! I had fun trick or treating with all my cousins, I was the blue ninja!

Some of my favorite things to do are to ride my bike really fast! My favorite time is when I have movie night with my family. My favorite movie is Real Steel because I love all the robots in it!

I like watch sports with my uncle my favorites are football, baseball and basketball. My favorite team is the Sacramento Kings and I love when my grandma takes me to their games!
